Service was excellent, the bottomless watermelon juice was fresh and delicious and OMG the grilled shrimp tacos some of the best I ever had. Loved the decor and will definitely return.

Food was very good. Did not have to rely on salsa to flavor the meat. They were very generous with the food portions. The 2 carnitas tacos had enough meat for more than 4 tacos and not the mini tortilla size. The shrimp cocktail was zesty and packed with shrimp, enough for two people to enjoy. Seeing how authentic our meal was I had to try the flan and it was delightful. The restrooms could have used some attention.

After we ate there, I just noticed that they are owned by the same people who owned the best Mole place in the valley. Because their original sun valley location hasn’t restored since the arson, this is now the best place to try out more moles. We had the greatest service in spite the fact we stopped by 30 Min before the closing time on Sunday (their busy day). Even though they are in the very touristy area, the food is very solid and fresh. They are not counting on the one timers but repeating Angelino customers. We shall come back for more glorious mole of theirs. Congratulations for the new ventures!

Delicious food, great micheladas, and great service. Their guacamole and salsa are so tasty with fresh chips. And they have parking! Super convenient.

Portions are small. It's enough to fill you , unless you have a huge stomach aka american size stomach. This is one of the most authentic mex flavors around placing Olvera. . We came in right when they opened the restaurant and bar. Service was fast and attentive. . Service gets slow because place fills up and they don't have a huge staff. . We didn't get food poisoning here. We enjoyed the mole appetizers, don't order if you're expecting something huge. We also got cheese with chorizo appetizer. You can order it with tortillas. . Parking is limited and there is some on the street. . Meat here had flavor and was great tasting. . The music could be turned down a bit tbh, it's the only thing we did not enjoy. Bathroom needs a bit more upkeeping. . Order the quantity of tortillas you want to eat, they serve 2 each time.

If you wanna be wowed with some good pre-hispanic Mexican food then is the spot! This restaurant really lives up to the plaza olvera name and taste . I wish I could’ve put this review around the time I went but making it as detailed possible Think about sabores “flavor” when you order. The servers are very savvy and helpful with their recommendations. Also, the drinks are mind blowing Our drinks had mezcal and Marco hooked it up with some amazing sweet,spicy tart and fruity drinks. I would die for these drinks anytime . Good Mexican mixologist. I love the fact that the food and the ambiance is a perfect combination for the experience and taste of Mexico Let me tell you it’s a good idea to call in on weekend evenings before visiting because they close if there’s not enough patrons.
